This is really stupid.
When asked why, the parents had this to say: ”What we noticed is that parents make so many choices for their children. It’s obnoxious.”
I always thought that gender wasn’t a “choice” at birth. You look at the baby and you know whether it’s a boy or a girl. Nobody chooses anything. (Parents may choose to want a girl or boy, but that choice is all intellectual until the baby comes out, or earlier if the baby’s gender is determined by medical technology.)
And yes, parents can (and do) make so many choices for their children. It’s what parents do. It’s part of what is called parenting.
