I’ve been feeling under the weather lately. It all started with the very familiar feeling–sore throat, dry lips, watery eyes–that signal the start of a cold. That was yesterday; this morning I’m coughing and my head hurts. Looks like I’m looking at a few days of being sick.
But enough of that! On a brighter note, I just came across a wonderful quote from J.I. Packer: “If you want to judge how well a person understands Christianity, find out how much he makes of the thought of being god’s child, and having God as his father.”
Sinclair B. Ferguson adds this, “If you want to judge how well a person understands the gospel, ask him what he makes of the death of Christ, and what the message of the cross is.”
