I caught an advertisement today on the front page of the Philippine Star. Somebody from Samsung was unveiling a Smart TV. Explaining the TV’s central role in “bringing family members together,” one of the heads from Samsung said, “they’re bringing family members together in front of a large, central screen after spending the day apart on individual devices.”
Hmm…. So instead of staring zombie-like at individual screens, the family that stares zombie-like at the TV together, stays together.
Am I the only one who sees something wrong with that?
